About Meadowlark Designs:

I am a freelance, custom designer who works at what I love to do. As I am fulfilled by my work, it gives me great pleasure to insure that every customer I have is completely satisfied.

I graduated at Western State College in 1982 with a minor in Geology.  The  industry collapsed shortly after graduating and I took up accounting as a career.  I was in the accounting field for over 16 years and tired of crunching numbers.  I started out beading necklaces and making semi-precious stone eyeglass holders.

A good friend of mine is a jeweler and I asked her to teach me to become a Silversmith/Goldsmith. She gave me private lessons until she moved to Virginia.  It was a great start as I have continued designing and producing interesting and unusual pieces.  Unusual and rare stones are my favorites.  I enjoy working with stones that you will not see anywhere else and are not mass produced.

My many years in accounting have helped in that I am very detailed oriented.  Geology on the other hand has guided me in finding high quality stones.  It has also helped me in being able to identify and purchase high quality stones.  After all these years, I have finally found my true love.
